Evergreen & The
Creative Alliance at The Patterson present Gatsby's Great Garden Party
Return to the 1920s and the grandeur of the
Gatsby era! This madcap evening of art and film features an
outdoor screening of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic
The Great Gatsby (Coppola, 1974) set
against Evergreen's opulent Gilded Age mansion. Beer and
popcorn will be available for purchase.
Come
early and picnic on the lawn, play croquet, compete for
"Best Dressed" in a 20's Summer Whites costume
contest, explore the outdoor exhibition Sculpture at
Evergreen 2008, and see some of Scott's first editions
and Zelda's drawings in the museum.

Watercolor Workshop Outdoor Landscapes with
Lois Wolford
Taught by local
experienced watercolor artist Lois Wolford, this workshop will
explore watercolor's renowned ability to convery the
experience of light, as well as form and space, by drawing
inspiration from the lush gardens and woodlands of
Evergreen's 26-acre estate. Open to artists of all abilities;
space in the class will be limited.

of the Music at Evergreen concert series opens with 15-year-old
Chinese piano prodigy Peng Peng, performing works by Brahms,

Theatre. At 2pm, Frances Klapthor of the BMA will discuss the
Garrett Collection of Asian Art. A Meet-the-Artist reception
