Go north on Charles Street approximately 5 miles. Turn left on University Parkway. Take the first left into the university's North Gate circular entrance and follow signs for Homewood Museum parking. (See campus map).
Take the beltway toward Towson to I-83 south. Take exit 7 to 28th Street. Turn left onto Charles Street. Turn left onto University Parkway. Take the first left into the university's North Gate circular entrance and follow signs for Homewood Museum parking. (See campus map).
Take exit 53 onto I-395 north toward downtown Baltimore, then take the exit to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and follow the directions from Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard below.
Entering Baltimore, the parkway becomes Russell Street. Stay on Russell Street until (with the Baltimore Ravens stadium to your right and Oriole Park at Camden Yards looming before you) you reach the right-hand exit marked Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (look carefully for this; the signs are small). This exit will put you very briefly on a service road parallel to Russell Street. Stay to the left and take the ramp marked Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Follow the directions (below) from Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Take MLK Boulevard north until it ends at Howard Street (remain in one of the middle lanes of MLK Boulevard to avoid a premature forced right or left turn). Turn left at Howard Street. One block past 29th Street, Howard Street will bear right and become Art Museum Drive. Follow Art Museum Drive (with the Baltimore Museum of Art to your left) until it ends at Charles Street. Turn left at Charles Street and stay to the left. You will pass the university and Homewood Museum on your left. Turn left at the third set of lights onto University Parkway. Take the first left into the university's North Gate circular entrance and follow signs for Homewood Museum parking. (See campus map).
Take the 28th Street exit to 28th Street east. Turn left onto Charles Street and stay to the left. Turn left at the fourth set of lights onto University Parkway. Take the first left into the university's North Gate circular entrance and follow signs for Homewood Museum parking. (See campus map).
If you opt to take a taxi from Penn Station to Homewood Museum, the fee should be quite modest. The museum is very close to the train station.
All groups arriving at Homewood Museum by bus must load and unload from the university's East Gate circular entrance on Charles Street (service road going south). Homewood is the last building on the right next to the Milton Eisenhower Library.(See campus map).

The Baltimore Collegetown Shuttle (free with college i.d.), a service of the Baltimore Collegetown Network (BCN), is a free student shuttle that runs between five local colleges. Use the Johns Hopkins stop, at the MSE Library Circle. The museum is located on the circle, to the right of the library.

Visitors to Homewood Museum may pay to park in JHU visitor lots, or use city-metered street parking. For more information about these parking options, please call Homewood Museum at 410.516.5589.
A limited number of metered spaces are located in the Homewood Museum Lot, next to the tennis courts and the AMR buildings. Meters are in effect at all times, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and accept credit cards and coins for payment. The parking rate at the Homewood Museum lot is $3/hour with a strictly enforced 2 hour maximum. Homewood Museum hangtags are accepted in lieu of payment, but are still restricted to the 2 hour maximum parking limit. (See campus map – Homewood Museum Lot is to the right of #48)
The university’s primary visitor parking area for the Homewood campus is the South Garage, which is underneath Mason Hall and accessed from Wyman Park Drive (between San Martin and Art Museum Drives). South Garage is open 24 hours a day and staffed from 8am to 6pm. (See campus map – South Garage is to the left of #12)
The exit gates accept paid entry tickets, exit vouchers and credit cards. The Pay Station is located in the vestibule next to the Parking Office.
Baltimore City’s E-Z Park pay-and-display metered parking is available along North Charles Streets. E-Z Park Meters accept coins, debit cards, and credit cards. After pre-paying, simply display the printed parking receipt on the dashboard of your vehicle.
