Andrea Palladio from Rome to
Baltimore
An international panel
of five distinguished scholars will explore the lasting
influence of Italian Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio,
one of the greatest architects of the western world, and
his lasting influence on building design in America.
The symposium, organized in celebration of the 500th
anniversary of Palladio's birth, concludes with a
4:30pm reception at Homewood.

open to artists of all levels and includes a tour of the
museum's extensive Tiffany

Evergreen's 26-acre grounds provides a distinctive
setting for 10 new works of temporary sculpture, created by
contemporary artists for the museum's fifth biennial
Sculpture at Evergreen. Join curator Andrea Pollan and the
participating artists at this opening celebration, which
features exhibition viewing, a museum open house, and light

Abbott will highlight works of fine and decorative arts
from the museum's collections—including rare
paintings by Amedeo Modigliani and Ignacio Zuloaga and
exceptional works by Louis Comfort Tiffany and Léon
Bakst—and lead a visual tour of the eclectic
interiors created by and for two generations of
Baltimore's prestigious Garrett
family. The lecture is followed by dinner
