Call (410) 516-6710 and join today!   "Ever Baltimore" Tour NEW History-focused Tour at Evergreen  Built in 1858 on rural Charles Street Avenue in North Baltimore and later home to Baltimore's Garrett family of B&O Railroad fame from 1878–1952, Evergreen Museum & Library has witnessed a century and a half of history. "Ever Baltimore," a special history-focused museum tour, highlights events of the 19th and 20th centuries — the Civil War, industrial America and the rise of railroads, the women's suffrage movement, the World Wars, art patronage in the Gilded Age — through the lives and collections of this opulent mansion's former residents. Thursday, September 20, 3:30-4:30 p.m. 20th ANNIVERSARY TALK "New Research on Charles Carroll of Homewood and the Carroll Family" Mary Jeske and Sam Brainerd, part of the team working on the Carroll Papers historical editing project, will discuss new discoveries regarding Charles Carrol of Homewood and the Carroll family as seen through the complex and fascinating trove of Carroll family correspondance. Friday, September 21, 1:30-3:30 p.m. 20th ANNIVERSARY PARTY Join us as we celebrate 20 years of connecting Baltimore's past and present, with free walk-through tours, and birthday cake and refreshments on the lawn.   For Our Members SPECIAL INVITATION FOR LANDMARK SOCIETY The JHU Museums has partnered with the Johns Hopkins Club to provide its Landmark Society members with an added benefit: a place to socialize on the Homewood Campus!
